Wednesday: Beak buffet

Rocket grabs a spoon. "This beak can get anything!"

He tries to lift water. It spills.

Raven asks, "Which tool fits each food?" Nova sets up stations.

You need

  • Tools: a spoon, a clothespin and a straw
  • A plate of dry beans
  • A plate of cotton balls
  • A cup of water and an empty cup
Safety first
Beans and cotton stay out of mouths, noses and ears.
The straw is a tool. Do not drink with it.
Wipe up spills so nobody slips.

Steps

  1. Pick one beak tool.
  2. Try to move beans to an empty spot.
  3. Try to move cotton balls.
  4. Dip the straw in water. Cover the top with a finger.
