Family Cook Day: Rainbow Veggie Wraps

The crew lines up bowls of red, orange, green and purple vegetables.

"Today we roll a rainbow," says Ferris. "What do you notice about our bowls?"

Lucy the Ladybug counts them. "Four colors, and four friends to share!" she says.

Riley rolls up a napkin to show how. "Here is a hint," he says. "Tuck and roll tight."

  1. Eat lots of different, colorful fruits and vegetables.
  2. A tally mark counts one thing. Bundle by fives.
  3. A bar graph shows counts as bars. The tallest bar is the most.
  4. On a scaled graph, each square can stand for more than one.
  5. Water is a great drink with meals and snacks.
