Friday: Start a moon log

Rocket wants to remember every Moon he sees.

Raven opens a notebook. "Scientists write down what they notice."

Nova shows a grid with boxes. "Hint: one box for each night you look."

"A moon log!" Rocket cheers. "Let us make one!"

How a moon log works

  1. Make a grid with boxes, one for each night.
  2. Write the night number in the box.
  3. Draw the shape of the lit part you see.
  4. Write no moon if you cannot find it.
  5. Write cloudy if clouds hide the sky.

Some nights the Moon is not up in the evening.

That is a clue too! Write it down.
