Astronomy Year
Astronomy Year is a year-long observation course built around what's actually visible from your kid's backyard, month by month. Each month: a guided 30-minute outdoor observation, a constellation to find, a moon-phase log, an astronomy fact deep-dive, and a planning worksheet for next month. Includes a digital star map for your latitude (entered when the parent signs up). The PDF certificate at the end is the year's full observation log, beautifully laid out, a real keepsake.
What your kid will learn
- Identify 8 constellations visible from the kid's hemisphere across a year
- Track moon phases and predict the next full moon
- Spot the difference between planets and stars in the night sky
- Notice and log seasonal change in what's visible at sunset
- Read a star map and use a compass to orient
- Plan an observation session: what to look for, where to look, when to give up if cloudy
10 to 15 minutes a day, four or five days a week.
