Launch Lab: Sound walk

Rocket, Raven and Nova take a quiet walk.

They stop and listen.

Raven asks, "What do you notice?"

  1. Scientists observe with their senses.
  2. We describe things with clear words.
  3. We never taste what we study.
  4. Living things need water and food.
◇ SOUND AND SIGHT WALK
Walk with your grown-up inside or outside.
Stop three times.
Each time, name one sound you hear.
Then name one living thing you see.
For a grown-up
Ask: what did you notice?
Ask: what would you change next time?
Praise careful looking and listening.
