Launch Lab: Life Cycle Wheel

Rocket cuts out a paper plate wheel. "Let's build a life cycle spinner!" he says.

Raven checks the seed bag on the window. "Look! Tiny white roots. What do you notice?"

Nova hovers over the wheel. "Your spinner should go around and around," she says. "Just like a real cycle."

  1. Every life cycle has birth, growth, reproduction and death.
  2. A monarch goes egg, larva, pupa, adult.
  3. A frog goes egg, tadpole, frog. A grasshopper goes egg, nymph, adult.
  4. A seed germinates when it soaks up water. The root comes out first.
