Launch Lab: Change hunt

The crew walks around the block with a notebook.

Rocket finds a sidewalk crack with a weed growing in it.

Raven finds a smooth, worn stone step.

"What do you notice?" Raven asks. "Fast or slow?"

Nova bobs along. "Hint: ask how long each change took."

  1. Earthquakes and volcanoes change land fast.
  2. Water and ice wear rock away slowly.
  3. The Colorado River carved Grand Canyon over millions of years.
  4. One place can have fast and slow changes.
