Raven tapes a paper star to the wall.

Rocket aims the flashlight right at it. Too easy!

Nova says, "Now hit it using a mirror."

You need

  • A flashlight
  • A small plastic mirror
  • Paper and tape for a target
Safety first
Use a plastic mirror.
A grown-up holds any glass mirror.
Never point a mirror at the Sun.
Never bounce light into anyone’s eyes.

Steps

  1. Tape the paper target on a wall.
  2. Stand to the side of the target.
  3. Shine the flashlight at the mirror, not the wall.
  4. Tilt the mirror slowly.
  5. Move the bright spot onto the target.
