⏱ about 15 min

Tuesday: Clear, cloudy, blocked

Raven holds up a clear cup, wax paper and cardboard.

Rocket guesses fast. "Light goes through all of them!"

Nova says, "Try looking through each one first."

Three kinds of materials

Transparent means clear. Light goes through.

You can see things clearly through it, like a window.

Translucent means cloudy. Some light goes through.

Things look blurry through it, like wax paper.

Opaque means blocked. No light goes through.

You cannot see through it, like cardboard.
