Wednesday: Rubber band box

Rocket stretches a band over a box and plucks it. Plunk!

Nova shines a light. "Look at the band," she says.

You need

An open box or plastic tub with no lid
Three rubber bands

Safety first

A grown-up stretches the rubber bands.
Keep your face back from the bands.
Rubber bands can snap, so pluck gently.
Never point a rubber band at anyone.

Steps

A grown-up stretches the bands around the open box.
Pluck one band gently.
Watch the band. Listen to the sound.
Pluck the band harder.
Now pluck it, then touch it to stop it.
