Thursday: The Maze Run

"The pancakes are hot!" Rocket says. "I will zoom straight there." But a thick wall blocks his way.

Raven studies the maze. "What do you notice about the walls?" she asks.

Nova draws a glowing grid. "Each move is one step," she says. "Up, down, left, or right."

Let's plan Rocket's path one move at a time. Then we'll write clear directions to a kitchen sink.

Rocket is at S. The hot pancakes are at P. Write the sequence of moves to get there. Use U (up), D (down), L (left), R (right).

ROBOT PATH

Click cells in order to make a path from S to E. Diagonal moves not allowed. Walls are solid. Submit when you have a complete path.

S
Click S to start, then click each next cell. Path so far: 0 cells
WHY THIS EXERCISEProgramming a robot is exactly this: give it a SEQUENCE of moves. Each cell you click is one instruction. CSTA 1A-AP-10.
My moves:

Nova moves L, then R. Where does she end up?
Raven writes D, D, R. Rocket does R, D, D. Do they always reach the same square?
