It is the weekend, Code Crew.
Today you make a real memory box.
You need a cup and some paper.
You also need a grown-up helper.
You keep the box. They act out the lines.
Find a cup or a small box.
Write count on a paper name tag.
Write 1 to 5 on little papers.
set count to 2 clap count times change count by 1 clap count times
Read line one. Put 2 in the cup.
Your grown-up peeks and claps 2 times.
Then read the next line.
Line three changes the box.
You swap the 2 for a 3.
Now they clap exactly 3 times!
Run it again, but skip line three.
What gets stuck? That is a clue!
Pick a book with a grown-up.
Hunt for these sight words.
Always: A-L-W-A-Y-S.
Around: A-R-O-U-N-D.
Because: B-E-C-A-U-S-E.
Been: B-E-E-N.
High: H-I-G-H.
Near: N-E-A-R.
Add: A-D-D.
Food: F-O-O-D.
Between: B-E-T-W-E-E-N.
Own: O-W-N.
Point to each word you find.
Read it out loud. Count your finds!
Keep the box. Read the lines.
Count every clap together.
Have fun this weekend!
