⏱ about 20 min

Monday: The Fly Far Challenge

Rocket folds a paper plane in ten seconds flat.

Whoosh! It loops once and lands by his feet.

Raven laughs kindly. "How far should it go?"

Nova draws a glowing line on the floor. "Would you like a hint? Pick a number of feet."

"Ten feet!" Rocket says.

The challenge

  • Goal: a paper plane that flies at least 10 feet.
  • Use one sheet of paper.
  • You may use one paper clip.
  • The same person throws every test.

How we measure

A grown-up marks a start line with tape.

Then they use a ruler to measure 10 feet.

They mark the 10 foot line with tape too.

Did your plane land past the line?

Feet and rulers
